Tent too big?

Hi guys, i have a big tent, a vango diablo 600, ill be arriving at around 2/3pm on the wednesday. do you think ill be able to find a spot big enough for my tent by then? how quickly do the camping areas fill up? Im considering buyin a smaller tent, i don't want to get there and not be able to pitch up! Thanks.

You'll be fine arriving at that time, but if you've got a big tent and there's only 2 of you in it or something be prepared for people around you to give you a slagging- it's really not fair to take up loads of camping space, there's 174,999 other people need to camp as well.....

There will be loads of room up at the Gate D end of the site on Wednesday afternoon, didnt fill up till late thursday last year, however dont expect a prime spot on Pennards at that time with that monster

3 of us going down have been lumbered with 4 other bloody tents for mates who are arriving ont he Thurs, hoping there is space to get these all put up in a circle, fingers crossed and a small Gazebo in the middle!

Yeah, I reckon you'll be fine. We had a big 6 man tent for 2 people last the past two years but we didn't have a gazebo so we lived in it in the rain.

I've never in my life heard anyone at a festival complaining about the size of someone's tent, maybe I'm too preoccupied to worry about it
