bombfrog
Bruce Springsteen fans are a bit like Jacko/Radiohead fans aren't they. They simply fail to believe that anybody in their right mind could not care about their heroes.
daveinafield
that was meant to be 4 -4 - 2 but it did not work
alframsey
you claimed I was lying when I said all but one person I asked hated Bruce. FFS. I've even posted to show where you said it (so won't bother to quote you again). I don't think I'm important at all. I do, however, think I have a right to express my opinion and my experiences and to not be called a lair for doing so - which is EXACTLY what YOU did! And you claim to not care. eFestivals
some stayed, some left... so what so what indeed. That's what I said. Some have tried saying very few left because it simply wasn't possible for huge numbers of people to think it anything by fantastic. Yet huge numbers thought it far less than fantastic. I've already responded to that.. (yes he did play it) maybe you're a poor reader. If you believe idiots like Kiss' claim that they wrote that melody first, then there's not much point to this debate anymore Kiss certainly used the melody decades before Bruce did. If you think that's not the case then yep, you're right - there's not much point to this debate anymore.
eFestivals
HOW f**kING STUPID ARE YOU!!!!! I find it hard to believe this site was created by such a person!!! I have stated about 8 times that I accept some people didn't like him, and i have stated the only problem I have is your pathetic childish antics. Can you not read? Yes, you've stated that since, but if you'd not claimed different originally then we wouldn't be here. The stupid one is you with your mind changing. But hey, at least you're now wiser about Bruce than you were when you entered this thread.
daveinafield
care to say where I've said it's everyone's? Simply fact is that people like you can't accept that there's people like me. Meanwhile people like me can't avoid knowing that there's people like you.
eFestivals
nobody here (as far as I remember) has tried to say that you're wrong for suggesting you think he's bland, crap, whatever... you're the one who doesn't seem to be able to accept that lots of people simply disagree with you A poor memory you have there sir. I suggest starting your re-read on page three.

eFestivals
the political question is a very interesting one Neil, it is. One of those acts is mainstream and not radical, while the other is not mainstream and radical. OK, I accept that Bruce might be considered radical in the good ole USA .... but that's a country that thinks nu-Labour are communists. Nuff said. TheBoyInTheBubble
Oh Christ, Neil! They're going to get all Salman Rushdie on you. Even me and my mate said at Glasto, don't say anything negative aloud about Bruce as it's not worth facing what the cult might do to you. After seeing their reaction to someone having a flag which was too low before the gig, we were definitely proved right. Full cans of lager being launched in the proximity of someone with the offending flag - and thus clocking many random people on the head with them. Threats about looking up the website on the flag and "ruining" the people who run it. Mass abusive chanting. If it was Oasis fans behaving like that people would have been up in arms. eFestivals
you do know that Born In The USA is anti-american, don't you? really? Wow, it's taken me nearly 30 years to discover that. Thanks tony, without your deep insights I'd have carried on thinking Bruce to be a left wing american ... which is of course a right wing European. The more you carry on in this debate, the more you show up how little you know about him... which is fine, just don't pretend you're the one who knows and the people who like him don't. Bruce who? eFestivals
i do accept you, but can you accept that i can see qualaties in both Springsteen and Steel Pulse? I've already stated that I accept that people can see qualities in Bruce. But f**k knows why. It's no different to me accepting that people can see qualities in Take That. Again - f**k knows why. eFestivals
is that me?? I pretty much knew he'd play it. My heart did sink a bit when it started, but live it was a good performance (and seeing as you'd already gone, fyi, it went down a storm). I still skip it when it comes on. yep. Very VERY glad I missed it.

ml1dch
PS: weakest, or simply the worst bland crap ever released? Why won't anyone answer the question about whether he played Kiss' "I Was Born..." ... sorry, "Outlaw Pete" (yes, I can hear you, but I bloody wish I couldn't). eFestivals
well with those insights, who needs deep ones it's as deep as it gets with Bruce. While "Born In.." is some ways "anti-American", it hardly goes very far. It's bleating about the poor way the Americans sent to fight were treated, without tackling the fact they were sent to fight a war they shouldn't have been fighting. LostRiot
I knew one bruce song that he played, (I only knew 3 neil young songs but he was my highlight). I was so bored I started looking to see if there was anything else i could go to, but nothing really looked that ace (should have gone to jarvis). Worst headline act I've ever seen. tylerdurden
f**k reading 16 pages for a laugh. All I'll say is, was at the Pyramid barrier at about 5 in the morning on the Sunday Morning, some Scottish security guy walks up and says "Are you waiting for Blur already?" jokingly, we laugh and he tells us a story of 10 o'oclock the morning before, 4 Springsteen fans came up to the barrier and put 4 chairs down, sat in them, fell asleep, woke up later and had a packed lunch and drinks, pissed in cups etc. All to get a good space for the boss. Over 12 hours waiting. That shows the sort of fanatic, those who would've definitely bought a ticket solely because he was playing. I spoke to 3 people who told me that they had. I personally thought he wasn't very good at all, and saw alot of people leaving during various points of the set. Or there was the people just singing Born in the USA non-stop. He really cocked-up to be honest, that was a totally fan-orientated set, I suppose it could've been partially due to the fact I was knackered and starving hungry, but it wasn't very enjoyable until the end. Unless you were in the front row of course and could grab him. Whoever said "Read the reviews and the twitter posts" after about half an hour the twitter posts start calling him "Boring" and saying "Its dragging on" or "Play a hit" and the reviews are basically saying what I've said, enjoyable for a select amount. eFestivals
See, that is my favorite song on the new album. Say it all really. Why not check out the original by Kiss? Here's betting you'll like it even more.
