SkyFest, Stoke 12th July 2009

Hi all, Mr PC and I are thinking of going to this festie to see the mighty Hawkwind but the website is a tad vague about what kind of a festie it is! Apparently, it is free until 5.00pm - but the website site doesn't actually mention what might be going on for free! And the list of support acts for the evening seems a tad eclectic! Does anyone know anything about this festie? Is anyone going?

Just in case anyone is interested, I managed to google the answer to my own question! This festival is being run by the local authorities in Biddulph - hence, the eclectic line-up - apparently, there's some kind of local connection going on here!!! It is actually part of a two day event - day one, Saturday 11th July, takes place in the same location and appears to be free - it features The Oysterband - Sunday daytime is free and apparently features some kind of local battle of the bands - and then Sunday evening features Hawkwind and costs £20 for a ticket. Apparently, there is also camping available - for a donation to charity - for both Saturday and Sunday evening. So now you know - maybe this is another candidate for the cheap festies thread!
