Coach Travel for day ticket buyers

Hi everyone,

I'd really appreciate it if you could share your coach travel experience - this is the first Reading festival experience for me so I really don't know anything about it...

I bought day tickets (for 29th and 30th) and I'd like to stay in Bath or London or somewhere to sleep after the festival on 29th. I think if I want to leave the Reading after Arctic Monkeys, I think I need to book National Express buses since I guess no train service is available after the headliner finishes.

Then I went and used the jorney planner on the National Express website but no buses are available so far. So I'm wondering how day ticket buyers like me can book buses....

Coz I don't have a camping ticket. I wish I could book a room of a hostel in Reading but it's too expensive! Thus, I decided to go somewhere outside of Reading and stay on the night of the day. Then head to Reading again on the following day....I can't be bothered.

A quick search shows that Novotel in Reading town centre has rooms for £99 available. Travel to London and especially Bath (a good hour away) would be a right pain and far more expensive and you'll be lucky to find anywhere much cheaper anyway.

edit: or Holiday Inn Express near Madejski Stadium has rooms available for £45.

I was surprised that there are some cheap rooms available near Reading.

I'll check them and book one.
