"we are sad to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel the European and UK shows this August.

we hope to be back to see you all very soon."

I can't imagine the chances of her ever coming back to SSW or Leicester are that high, but there you go. (And there was me thinking SSW might get through a year without loads of pull-outs...)

Losing Jenny Lewis is a major blow, of nearly 'The Hold Steady' 08 proportions.

The Noisettes I could cope with. Looking forward to seeing some suitable replacements.

On a lesser scale than the above acts, Mumford and Sons would be excellent for a sunday slot.

Glad that I went to see Rilo Kiley at the Rescue Rooms last year now having managed to miss them at all other opportunities before that!!! Hold Steady magnitude indeed!!!

lightning seeds would not be my first choice. that said i saw them at guilfest a few years ago and they were deffinately one of the highlights. i'm still yet to get particualarly excited about bombay bicycle club

Which makes sense, having two big melodic pop-as-it-used-to-be-applied bands back to back opposite Bon Iver and... actually, the Zutons aren't all that different at heart, are they?
