fatty-666
SOOOOOOOO I've just bought a 4 man Tipi from Argooose which was half price - bargain! My main reason for buying this is because its so much easier to navigate when you're drunk/high/whatever if you have a landmark tent. The amount of times i've woken up in someone elses tent, and they've been kind enough to let me stay...yeah, lets not go there. But now, stupidly, only AFTER having bought it, i've discovered not only is it a single layer affair, but it is shower proof and not water proof. So I decided to read the reviews, and some say it's held up fine in a terrential downpour, whereas others say teh condensation is horrific and it leaks - though i put most of the leaking up to their poor pitching of said tent. Anyhoo, enough of my babbling, for the few who have actually used these, how well do they fare over the course of the weekend? Any help would be grand. Joshuwarr
Well unless we have an absoloute downpour then you shouldnt have to worry. But make sure you set it up properly as we never do and it always flaps about in the wind!
coxy99
Cotswold Outdoor have a 3 man tepee tent (waterproof) for £30 reduced from £50. It's Vango as well so a good make..looks a piece of piss to put up, with just the one pole. It is a single skin though...but should provide just as much protection as most single skin tents on the market. I'm going to buy one for Camp Bestival next week. Bruceyy
Had one next to us at Glastonbury and it absolutely poured a couple of times, we chatted to them a few times and it seemed to be absolutely fine. I wouldn't worry about it!
