Where has the money been spent?

Dont know about the rest of you but i am wondering where the money gets spent. My first festival experience was 2001 Reading, £85 for 3 days of music. We have paid £165 for two days, does not feel like good value for money, but might feel better if the full lineup was announced!

Will be my last year at V i reckon!

everything has gone up though hasnt it? I still think you get a bargain for festivals. my gripe is gig tickets being so blooming expensive, but then if people ilegally download music then thats how artists get there money nowadays.

if you break that 165 quid down killers and oasis between them would be 80 to 90 quid. so you have the potential to watch 15 approx other bands over the weekend for 80quid approx so not a bad deal.

The problem, this year in particular, is that V suffers in comparison with other similar sized festivals like Reading. Oxegen & T. We get a day less than all of those for very similar money, and out of all 4 its probably the worst line-up. If it was the only festival I agree that it would be value for money...but if the other organisers can put on an extra days music, a better line-up and for the same price, you can't help but feeling vaguely shafted...

Latitude and T for me next year!
