Hi Guys

I have a little problem, I am staying in a camper van this year. My Dad is driving us all down as we are ladies and we can't operate vehicles biggers than corsa's and Lupo's ! lol

I have read the Terms and Conditions and no cars are allowed into the Campervan Site. Do you think they will let me follow my dad in and then he can drive my car back out??

I have tried to contact the V Organisers with no such luck. The email addresses on the site don't even exist.

Thank you in advance for your response.

There is a pick-up / drop-off point you could use where you could swap vehicles once your in but best bet is to swop before you get onto a V car park (layby maybe a mile from V as the close ones get shut or on the A5 closeby). Once you are on the car parks during the day you cannot get out until the afternoon - the entrances are all one way and these become the exits when you leave - so you'd have a row of cars going head to head with you. Just check the insurance on the campervan if its hired and make sure you and your dad can drive it!

If your dad is feeling generous there is a chance you could park up on a pub car park and he could drive you in and then walk back... but don't count on it. Also getting back in on Monday to recover your camper he may need some help from you as I doubt they'd let him anywhere but the pick-up / drop off zone.

Anyway a campervan isn't that bad to drive, just like a lannie with less oomph

TBH I can't see them letting your dad in at all, first he would have to pay to get in the car park and second and most importantly how the hell would he get out with all the cars coming on to the site

I think your best bet is to drive the van yourself the last few miles , with the amount of traffic you ain't gonna be going fast
