Skizz
"National Express East Anglia (NXEA) is today (Monday August 10) calling on the ASLEF, RMT and TSSA unions to suspend the strike action planned for Thursday and Friday this week, as talks to resolve the pay dispute at NXEA continue today." http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/a...s_press_release They have put up altered timetables for the days the strikes are due to be happening so if the strikes do go on over V weekend you can at least see what trains are running (if any!) mrsgaz
Strike still on. Its on today and tomorrow but there are more talks next week. I'd say plan as if the strikes will be on and get there as early as possible on Friday - certainly before the commuters start to leave or you'll be crushed to death on the train... Big thanks to those drivers and guards who are not on strike - and to those who are - why are you not picketing? why are you not publically supporting the union? Skizz
Aslef have pulled out of the strike scheduled for today and tomorrow have pulled out as they are happier with the offer from NEEA (good sign). Two down, one to go... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8199949.stm

Skizz
There are three different unions that represent staff on National Express East Anglia. Aslef, one of the unions, have withdrawn from the strike action and are returning to work. Therefore they've only got to get the other two on side and there's no train strike whatsoever
kpsuk
Right chaps, see link strike action called OFF for tomo! So does that mean they all agreed, the greedy w@nkers get what they want and everyone can get to Chelmo next week? http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/r..._14_august_2009

Skizz
Ah right. Cool. Sorry, just couldn't work out what you meant, that's all. But surely you meant one down, two to go?
