Langdale Wolf
I do enjoy a decent soundtrack - from awesome compilations such as Pulp Fiction, Lock Stock, Kill Bill, Trainspotting etc to a score like Lord of the Rings, through to classics like Quadrophenia, I've got way too many. There are some belters. What are your favourite soundtracks?
M a r k
Sunshine is very good, although mainly a score rather than a soundtrack. 500 Days of Summer is canny, although the film looks a bit meh. Favourite is probably Lost in Translation.

Purple Monkey
(These are proper scores to the films, not those "pop acts that are in the film" soundtracks) Dark Knight Taxi Driver Batman (Elfman) The Fifth Element Taxi Driver Terminator 2 Aliens Alien Pans Labyrinth Halloween The Illusionist 28 Days Later The only two videogame soundtracks I've ever bought were the ones for ICO and Shadow Of The Colossus - both utterly brilliant. Langdale Wolf
I own the soundtracks to: Lord of the Rings (all 3) Jurassic Park A Beautiful Mind Austin Powers Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me Quadrophenia American Pie American Beauty Easy Rider Pulp Fiction Kill Bill Vol 1 Kill Bill Vol 2 Lock Stock Snatch The Matrix Blues Brothers Highlander Back To The Future Gladiator Transformers: The Movie (classic!!) Rabbit Proof Fence Forrest Gump Wayne's World Top Gun (hasn't everyone got this?!) Trainspotting 24 Hour Party People I may have left some out. My favourite is probably Kill Bill vol1 - awesome. Except the sodding 5,6,7,8's. The track 'The Lonely Shepherd' is absolutely beautiful.

Cardboard Box City
Pulp Fiction has some proper classics - Son of a Preacher Man, You Never Can Tell, Flowers on the Wall. Trainspotting's soundtrack is epic, probably the best one going: "Lust for Life" - Iggy Pop (5:15) "Deep Blue Day" - Brian Eno (3:58) "Trainspotting" - Primal Scream (10:36) "Atomic" - Sleeper (5:11) "Temptation" - New Order (7:02) "Nightclubbing" - Iggy Pop (4:15) "Sing" - Blur (6:03) "Perfect Day" - Lou Reed (3:46) "Mile End" - Pulp (4:33) "For What You Dream Of" (Full-on Renaissance Mix) - Bedrock featuring KYO (6:30) "2:1" – Elastica (2:35) "A Final Hit" - Leftfield (3:17) "Born Slippy .NUXX" - Underworld (9:46) "Closet Romantic" - Damon Albarn (3:09) Mile End is one of the best little known Pulp songs:

Langdale Wolf
A soundtrack that rarely gets a mention is Forrest Gump, which is strange considering how good it is: "Hound Dog" performed by Elvis Presley – 2:16 @1956 "Rebel Rouser" performed by Duane Eddy – 2:21 "(I Don't Know Why) But I Do" performed by Clarence Frogman Henry – 2:18 "Walk Right In" performed by The Rooftop Singers – 2:33 "Land of 1000 Dances" performed by Wilson Pickett – 2:25 "Blowin' in the Wind" performed by Joan Baez – 2:36 "Fortunate Son" performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival – 2:18 "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" performed by The Four Tops – 2:43 "Respect" performed by Aretha Franklin – 2:27 "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" performed by Bob Dylan – 4:35 "Sloop John B" performed by Beach Boys – 2:56 "California Dreamin'" performed by The Mamas & the Papas – 2:39 "For What It's Worth" performed by Buffalo Springfield – 2:38 "What the World Needs Now Is Love" performed by Jackie DeShannon – 3:13 "Break On Through (To the Other Side)" performed by The Doors – 2:27 "Mrs. Robinson" performed by Simon & Garfunkel – 3:51 "Volunteers" performed by Jefferson Airplane – 2:04 "Let's Get Together" performed by The Youngbloods – 4:36 "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)" performed by Scott McKenzie – 2:58 "Turn! Turn! Turn!" performed by The Byrds – 3:54 "Medley: Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" performed by The 5th Dimension – 4:48 "Everybody's Talkin'" performed by Harry Nilsson – 2:44 "Joy to the World" performed by Three Dog Night – 3:16 "Stoned Love" performed by The Supremes – 2:59 "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" performed by B. J. Thomas – 3:00 "Mr. President" performed by Randy Newman – 2:46 "Sweet Home Alabama" performed by Lynyrd Skynyrd – 4:43 "It Keeps You Runnin'" performed by The Doobie Brothers – 4:13 "I've Got to Use My Imagination" performed by Gladys Knight & the Pips – 3:30 "On the Road Again" performed by Willie Nelson – 2:29 "Against the Wind" performed by Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band – 5:33 "Forrest Gump Suite" composed by Alan Silvestri – 8:49 Mind you, it would have been a lot better is they'd put these in as well, that I didn't realise were in the movie but not the soundtrack cd: "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" - Pete Seeger "Love Her Madly" - The Doors "Soul Kitchen" - The Doors "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" - The Jimi Hendrix Experience "Hello, I Love You" - The Doors "People Are Strange" - The Doors "Free Bird" - Lynyrd Skynyrd "All Along the Watchtower" - The Jimi Hendrix Experience "Running On Empty" – Jackson Browne "Hey Joe" - The Jimi Hendrix Experience "Get Down Tonight" - KC & The Sunshine Band "Let's Work Together" - Canned Heat "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" - Tony Orlando & Dawn "Hanky Panky" - Tommy James and The Shondells "Go Your Own Way" performed by Fleetwood Mac In fact, for songs that are in the actual fillm, I cant think of a better one than Forrest Gump. Radar
I too tend to laugh uncontrollably at that song. The wife thinks I'm odd. She probably has a point. The only part of that film she cracked a smile at was the bit with the cats.
