Beer in the campsite

i was just wondering if when taking beer into the campsite, if you look underage, do u get id'd?

im 17 so want to make the festival experience better by taking booze.

As long as you don't look (or act) about 12, you should be fine.

If the do start asking questions, just sneak in with some over-18's, or say you're carrying it for *point to someone close, who's clearly over-18* 'cos you're still fit and healthy/they have a bad back/etc.

Carrying it in like Alexx says you should be fine as long as you don't have a squeeky voice, act like a tool and aren't wearing an I love McFly t-shirt... if on the very big longshot you do get stopped then try the I'm carrying it for someone routine, failing that if you camp with the E-Fest lot get one of them to come with you.

Seriously though I have seen some clearly underage teenagers carrying beers in (yes I'm officially old) and no one bats an eyelid, even the police as they don't have the resources and they are more interested in if you have been sold it onsite than carrying it.

To the best of my knowledge there's nothing illegal about someone under the age of 18 being in possession of alcohol. In any case it's unlikely that you'll have any hassle.

I was 17 last year and they even checked my bag and saw the beer but no one gives a toss. Just don't take any glass bottles.
