Trains from London to Chelmsford

Are they really busy, or do you reckon there's enough of them just to turn up and be ok?

How long do you usually have to wait for the shuttle bus?

Any other useful info that might be helpful as I haven't been to Chelmsford before, went to Staffs last year and drove!

Yeah the trains are on strike, I wouldn't bank on using them. Strike went ahead last week, ended up on cr@ppy district line. Boo!

I'm worried about getting there now! Travelling from Manchester so it's gonna be a long journey as it is!! Gonna be a nightmare getting to the actual fest!

im travelling from p'bro , was gonna get coach but decided on train, someone else said no replacement bus's. so have no clue untill i get to london. gonna be fun!!!

I've had a look on a map, and the central line goes all the way out to Epping, which looks like it's about 8 miles from Chelmsford.... so it might have to be a tube then taxi combo

Alternatively C2C trains (don't think they're part of the strike?) go to Basildon, which is about 8 miles from Chelms in another direction....

Unless anyone knows a good liftsharing website? I have heard they do exist altho usually just go for the train!

Give it a few days and see if the strikes can be overted. I've already booked my train tickets and while 'limitted service' means 1 an hour for most, this means no service at all from my country bumpkin train station. Not going to get stressed about it. I'll get there somehow.
