Despite ACC Bill Holland spitting his dummy out after the Bulldog Bash was finally granted a licence the 23rd event was a spectacular success.

In my many years of attending events and festivals I have never seen such a laid back friendly well organised gathering. Other than the occassional 4x4 with Security signs there was no visible policing inside the event and absolutely no need for it. Outside was a very different matter with amassive overkill of Police who looked thoroughly bored and out of place. Does ACC Hollands' pride justify the enormous public expense on policing an event that is historically peaceful and regularly seeing crime figures that are pro rata minscule next to Glastonbury?

The Hells Angels only had two weeks notice to provide this event and they should be commended on an excellent job.

The venues were popular, sound was excellent. It was wonderful having two trucks driving around the event selling beer and the central food court was relaxed, spacious and provided high quality food of all origins.

A World Record run by a Jet Bike topped of Saturday and that was followed by a true full on performance from Lemmy and Co bringing the event to a noisy close.

Don't hesitate to put this event on next years calendar, particularly if you are into motorcycles. It was very safe, very comfortable and very enjoyable!

Always have a good time at the Bulldog Bash and this year was no exception. Have to disagree a bit about the food though..not so many vegetarian options, but then I'm used to Glastonbury food so I'm a bit spoilt! Definitely a relaxed and friendly atmosphere though and Motorhead were great (its just a shame I had to watch them on the screen outside the tent as it was so crowded inside!)
