gtlogan
hi all, went to global this yr, had a banging time,im thinking of going cream for the first time this yr, but ive just noticed it closes at 2300 sunday night, is this true as at global it goes till 0600 in the morning an i like that the most, what are you ment to do if your camping after 2300 hours...seems real strange that a dance festival shuts down at 11 o clock at night so what im saying is for those that went last yr, what did you do after 11 o clock? carlyd
well that is a bit crap, where did you read that???
carlyd
ah i just read that on the site. i thought you meant it closes at 23.00 on the saturday night too! nearly had a heart attack 12 hours a day is probably enough though hey? you will just have to hit it harder then global without having to pace yourself and carry on the party at the campsite! hehe :-)
hombrederayo
Were the GG stages open past 2300 on the sunday night? I thought this was all down to standard licensing laws for outdoor events on a sunday, that simply things of a certain decibel level have to be turned down/off after 11pm. I havent seen any mention on the O/S of a silent disco like they have at glasto but something like that on the sunday for those that still want to party would be ace. Scottish_Smithy
too be honest.. if your a mad rave monkey like most people are who go to creamfields and GG, then the 11pm finish should not be a worry as their will be some RIGHT laughs in the campsite afterwards.. am actually looking forward to this anyways
Delboy71
We walked back to our hotel at 11 and had a few beers and a laugh last year on the Sunday. To be fair everything kicks off earlier on the Sunday to make up for the early finish and the Sunday atmosphere was amazing. It didn't spoil things ofr us, you just have to adjust to starting earlier and ignore the time!! Plus it's good to aid recovery for travelling home on the Monday
shazt
Friday at Global finishes earlier than Sat but it doesn't make any difference, you just carry on partying anyway I'm only going for the Sunday anyway, 1) that's the only time I can spare, 2) the line ups better for me 3) because it finishes at 11 as I'll have to drive home and didnt fancy doing that at daft o'clock in the morning on the Sat

shazt
Aye, but when you are off your face and 4 grown men dressed as tellytubbies are stoating about the place it tends make you wonder a little bit

Delboy71
Two wks ago in Victoria Park, Tiesto’s set started at 6.45pm (which was also an outdoor event) so was as daylight as it could be. But this gave it a different feel, then as the darkness fell it gave more of a vibrant buzz to the atmosphere as everyone had already been out in the sunshine for hours enjoying the same thing! Which is how i get the feeling will be around the main stage both days, as this is open to all the elements!
