Car Parks?

Hi all, hope someone can help! Last year we ended up in the West carpark because we arrived around 2pm on the Friday. After the horrendous walk to and from the car we really don't want to be doing that again this year! We are coming from the M6 northbound, so any tips on making sure we get into the East carpark, or even better, the South carparks next to Gold campsite which we are aiming to pitch up in? We are hoping to arrive around 10am Friday this year, so is it as simple as arriving earlier or do we need to carry on further into Weston to make sure we end up nearer this year? Please help!

We've parked on the west car park for the last 3 years as we come eastbound along the A5 from Telford and turn right at the island just before Weston park, we normally get there about 9am on the Friday. Last year I had 2 full trucks and a stupidly heavy rucksack and it nearly killed me! Let's not even begin to talk about the trek back through the mud on the monday with wheels that clogged up!! The year before I did 2 trips from the car to the camp site and took me overall about 3-4 hours !! It only took me 10 minutes to drive from my house!!!!

No more!!!!! This year we're gonna drive past Weston park for a mile or so and turn round at the road on the right then come back and turn off left into the park and go on one of the other car parks!

Wanting to camp in orange this year, any ideas on the best car park, staying in Shifnal (I think that's right)

on the Thursday so think we will be approaching from the left

any help mucho appreciated

Personally, I'd rather go in west. Better to get out. I was stuck in south for 6 hours in 2006. Never again.

For the east/south car parks, you don't get a choice which to go in. You get directed to whatever they are filling up at the time. we've camped in gold when been directed to south car park and blue when been in east.
