It's going to be my first time at V. What kind of food is available to buy? Was planning to take a few bits for brekkie and maybe lunch. Don't fancy eating burgers 3 nights in a row though.

What kind of food vans is there? Thankies

On Thursday night get some oatcakes, fill them with cheese, roll them up and individually wrap them in foil. Refriderate and transfer to a cool bag with some ice blocks in on friday morning...

On fri night/sat/sun morning light the disposable bbq and heat the individually wrapped oatcakes up!!!

Open a strongbow and enjoy!

Yum yum!!

I guess u could even cook some bacon, chill it and wrap it up inside the oatcake. Or sausages...oh the possibilities..

Make sure u are downwind of any possible chloe bear hiding places...trees, general greenery that can disguise them or they will surely attack!!

There is loads of great food, and loads of bad food. Japanese noodles with tempura is always a favourite of mine, and there is a very good sausage and mash stall.

I'm on a major diet at the moment so will be picking carefully, the less naughty I am with my food intake, the more beer I can drink!!!!

Allow at least £5 a meal, often more.

*Brainwave*

My dad lives a few miles away - think I might phone an order in and he can drop it off at the pick-up point!

Thinking early morning breakfast rolls, flask of hot coffee - festival meals-on-wheels - hmmm!

Shame he'll probably tell me to sod off!

Head to the two villages run by Black Sheep (they have teepee tents with seating areas - one is usually to the left of the main stage by the Strongbow Tent, the other right at the back of the arena opposite the 2nd stage).

The food there is way better that the standard (and rubbish) burgers. My fella got a reasonable size pizza in that area for under £10. You will get curry, chinese, noodles, veggie food and all sorts, there really is no need to have yucky burgers. If you can face having a bit of a walk around early doors on the Saturday morning you will be able to spot the better places.

The hit of last summer seemed to be yorkshire puddings filled with sausage and mash, judging by the number of gravy covered plates all over the floor anyway!

The unfortunate thing about festivals is that food is expensive. Come to think of it, almost everything at festivals is expensive. Stall holders are there to make money, end of story. If you can face carrying some food for brekkie then it will save you some cash.
