I was gonna do hospitality as my mate who is coming with me hasnt been to a festival in years and wanted to. I convinced him otherwise!

There is no way I am paying the same as the cost of a 5 day glastonbury ticket for a 2 day festival simply for hospitality. no matter what you get.

Yeah, I get what you're saying and it's each to their own really. Depends what value you put on stuff and how much you've got I suppose. Being a bit older we like the Hospitality area and I earn a lot more now than when I started doing all this years ago so we do it. Never did it and never even considered it until more recent years though. As I say, each to their own!

I dont bring anything to a festival that Id be upset about losing/breaking/getting nicked. How old are ya delboy? I doubt Im that much younger that you if at all The actual money wasnt an issue really, it was more comparing the 2 festivals, and I couldnt justify the expense to myself for what you get for the extra money really.

I will miss not being able to go the hed kandi tent/bar whatever it is, but thats about it I reckon. I'm a pretty seasoned festivalgoer as you can see from my sig, and I've never needed/wanted hospitality before.

Thats the thing, I try and do at least 2 festivals a year now, glastonbury and 1 other (normally reading), so the extra money just didnt seem worth it to me. Id rather spend the saved £100 on booze anyway

It is hard to justify the extra cost for VIP/Hospitality whatever ya wanna call it but we missed out on Hed Kandi at Global a few years back so it wasn't really a choice, it was a MUST lol

and...as I'm getting on a bit but still can't stop bouncing around when the right tune's on I need a decent sit down every now and again ha ha
