I have never seen or heard about this at any other festival.

Has Creamfields always done this, or have they just brought it in this year?

I guess it should be possible to carry everything from your car to the campsite in one go, it is only 2 nights after all. Rucksack with tent, sleeping bag and clothes in it, camping chair, plus crate of beer in arms I guess.

But still, whats the point of the rule in the 1st place?

Yeah, i've read that to. I can only imagine it's to stop people trying to get more booze in (and lessen their profits) and to stop everyone having to be searched every time they want to come back in. Plus it makes the car parks easier to patrol if no-one should be in there.
