Camping in GOLD!

Hello lovely V people!

very, very excited, only a week to go!!

Its my third year at V, and last year had a wicked time camping in Gold.

Have any of you V Veterans got an idea of how we can make sure that we park in SOUTH carpark so we defo get into Gold?

Do they direct your car so that you dont have a choice? I cant remember!?

We will be arriving on Friday morning, early hopefully xxx

A couple of years ago we were meeting friends in Gold and told the security that, they just directed us to Gold and we drove straight there to set up.

Do you not find that Gold is just full of people shagging,

A few year's ago the site was just blind mans porn all night, everyone were couples of had copped off and everyone was shagging

As for the shagging bit, my God...I didnt know that, I always seem to miss these things!!!

We are bringing our mates this year for their first time..so no doubt this will be the year we hear it!!

I am worried about not getting into the south car park...I am going to check for signposts when I do a test run this Sunday, if not I will just have to go where I can and have a massive mooch with all my stuff!!

I'm think this gold site myself and wondered does anyone know what the showers/toilets were like?? Also were there loads of spiders in this one as I've heard some sites i.e blue have loads??

We camped in gold last year. I never seen a spider!

The toilets are not bad in comparison to red/blue.

The only downside to camping in gold was that you have to walk all the way through red & passed their toilets each time you go to the arena & back. They get a bit whiffy after a couple of days!

I camp in gold but seem to recall there is no water in the campsite. Certainly none that I found anyway. It was a hell of a trek to fill up with water for your brew. Unless of course I just missed the water!

In terms of toilets, the ones at the back of Gold were pretty good the last two years, Poo Truck seems to get to them everyday so once you see/hear/smell it getting down to business, get yourself in the queue for good as it gets toilets.

There were water stations in gold to the left of the toilets, just as you are heading to arena, by coffee/burger vans

Waww Gold site sounds fun! I just wanted to ask, I have never been to V Fesitval, and we are coming on the coach. I was just wandering where would be the best to camp, not too far and not too noisy at night, and maybe the showers and toilets are ok.
