softlad1983
Hi Guys, Been a bit of a "lurker" for some time now, just dropping in to see whats happening! As the title says I and my party are V virgins, as well as being festival virgins, and as such need some hel and guidance! Firstly, do I need to pre-book parking or do I just pay that when I get there? I have a vauxhall zafira have you any ideas on the cost to park? Secondly, will where I park have an impact on where I can camp, as my gf's sister and husband cant leave work til friday Afternoon, but we are sharing a tent, so dont want them to be affected! Thirdly, and some will say most importantly (and my holy grail) The Beer Amnesty! Is it 100% nailed on that I will be able to exchange Tesco Value Lager for vouchers for Carling? Dont really fancy lugging 40 cans of the rough stuff only to be told that they wont take it ! Finally, suppose I best say hi, really cant wait until 7am Friday morning when I am setting out from sunny Bristol! If any of you guys have any random tips, through it out there, i'm here to learn!! xxtinkerbellxx
You pay for parking when u get there Its roughly about £10 normally! Parking doesnt affect where you camp at all, you can camp anywhere but some car parks are closer to certain campsites so depends on how far you want to walk really. As for the beer amnesty i wouldnt buy the tesco larger myself, just to be on the safe side, u will be very annoyed if your stuck drinking that for the rest of the weekend! xxtinkerbellxx
That's why we developed the Cold Beer Amnesty!! Festival goers can relax and enjoy a perfectly chilled beer with their mates by swapping ANY unopened can of warm beer for an ice cold can of Carling. Rockybox
Think it was £10 to park last year - deff no need to book - just show your ticket and your in You can camp anywhere its just a longer walk from some carparks - we didn't get a choice last year , just parked where we were told ! As for the Carling Amnesty - well your guess is as good as mine - Didn't have it last year but i think its on this year .
Lil_miss
Just to add to Tinkerbells post according to the V website the amnesty will only be giving away 4000 cases of beer.... not a lot really compared to the people who will be onsite wanting to exchange their tesco lager.... For other hints/tips there is loads if you just have a read through - the weston park campsite guide is probably a good place to start
