what time people getting there friday?

as title really. we're normally there before midday, but now they have changed the opening times i am a litle confused.

I think there are a lot of people going early, but people will be arriving all through the day.

We're going early, but that is just so we can chill for the day with a few beers and make the most of the atmosphere

I know about 8 different groups who are heading up to Weston this weekend. I've asked them all about what time they're going and it totally varies from say 9am to 9pm on Friday.

I think that's probably pretty representative of the whole crowd. I reckon there'll be queues at 9 when the gates open but these will gradually die off during the steady influx throughout the day, then queues again as usual from about 6pm-9pm when all those who hav had to work come along.

It sees like a lot of folk are getting there early on friday, we're traveling from chepstow but finish work at 5 so we've got friday rush hour as well.. I've got no trouble with being patient but what are the Q's to park and get in like? similar to glasto ?

looking forward to it immensly but have to leave at 9 on sunday eve with work commitments so prob miss the killers .

Got in about 9 last year (but there was Thursday arrival so less queues I'd expect) so tent was up, deckchairs out, bbq on and beer open by 10:30. The weather outlook looked sooooo good then shame about the Monsoon that followed over the weekend)

We got in the bottom of red then about 50m from the entrance to the arena so a prime spot!

were travelling down form Blackburn and were setting of at 5.00 - and stopping off to get some brakfast on the way down - want to get in early so we can pitch up sock up the sunshine (hopefully) and crack open a can of the bow!

Its actuallt roasting in Blackburn i'm so hot......so hopefully fingers crossed it might be like this metcheck is producing some infomation i like today!!

we're travelling from Chesterfield - setting off at 6.00am. doesnt take too long to get there, think it was only about 1.5 hours last year? but im just wondering what its gonna be like getting in this time when the gates open at 9am? im sure last year i was sat down with the tent up and eveything at 10am!

I shall be arriving around 7.45am. Will be in the queue for the campsite, champagne in hand at 8am!!

we're in the campervan field and i am sure we normally set of at 11 (in normal conditions I live 5 mins from Weston) when they say they open at 12.

so, from what you guys think, I am reconing on leaving at 8, if we are early I am sure they will let us in, well, actually, it doesn't matter if they don't, we'll just block the A5 !

Im setting off from mine at 6:30am, did a test run just and took me 20 mins so should be there roughly about 7!

We only live about 8 miles from Weston Park so we're setting off at 0745 friday morning to be there for 0800!! I plan to be cracking open the first can in my deckchair by 0900 !!

We're setting off about 9am from Rawtenstall (near Burnley) so hopefully miss rush hour traffic and only have car park traffic to contend with.

Want to be set up by lunch time with BBQ and cider on the go!
