How safe is the green car park?

How safe is the green car park?

Is their normally any incidents of cars getting vandalised?

Never had problems myself or heard of any problems. They're is usually people on the gates of the car park etc.

They have security and I personally haven't heard of any incidents. Just obviously don't leave anything on show that people might want to get at!

Last year a car caught fire and lots of cards next to them also caught fire because of it. That is the only car park incident I can think of.

Did there insurance cover it? And did reading festival pay for the damages? Was that in green?

yea i remember this, we parked in white,Monday when we were going to the car, saw 3/4 burnt out cars

I seem to remember, also seeing a lot of smoke either friday/saturday..presumably the day that the cars caught fire

The car caught fire on the Saturday. I remember the boats taking you up the river stopped. We'd just walked from town with shitloads of shopping and beer and couldn't be arsed to walk much further so we sat by the river listening to the football and drinking the beer we'd just bought.

It was in white car park I believe. I have no idea about insurance! I assume insurance would cover it, why wouldn't it? I doubt reading festival paid for any damages as I'm sure like most car parks there is probably leave at your own risk type thing. From what I remember some people were having a bbq to close to a car and it caught fire.

I really wouldn't worry about your car! If you read these forums you will hear loads of stories about things that happen in the campsite, fires, security being knobs, tent thieves etc but I have never heard one story about someones car being damaged.

As early as possible. This means you have a better selection of where to camp and less queues.
