are holdalls on wheels a bad idea HELP!

okay so we cant fit everything in our backpacks so we were thinking if we put the lighter stuff in a holdall thing on wheels we can pull that and carry our backpacks.

my question is the title really,are we gonna struggle?

also if anyone is going with green coaches/national express or knows if we are gonna be allowed two large packpacks and a large holdall as luggage?

im panicking a bit now!

hope i can get some advice.x

Take less stuff, you won't use it all and then you'll resent having to carry it back on monday morning when you have a hangover.

Id love to know the answer to that as well!! My rugsack is packed n I dont know how it is that full!!! I thought of taking holdall on wheels but not sure if it would stand up to ground. Seems the easier option if it would though.

I wouldn't recommend one, they have little ground clearance, so they struggle even with a flat dry field, let alone what I imagine the walkways will become!

It depends on the weather and where you want to go, if you try and stick to the walkways you might be ok, won't be easy but it will be possible, just don't pick a campsite really far away.

And what time you getting their, i would suggest early friday, the ground should be better than if you went at night

I don't know about the coaches, i have seen people go on them with 2 large suitcases before so you should be ok,

Nooo don't do it. I did this the first year and really really struggled

Take it from me, just carry what you can in (or attached to) your rucksack and in your arms.

either that or invest in a £12.50 trolley from B&Q, they are really good, but you need bungies

Is it really ridiculous that I'm taking a large suitcase stuffed full of most my stuff including clothes, light's and food then carrying my tents and chairs.

Will I struggle?

i took a holdall on wheels to leeds fest in 07 when it was very sunny and dry but even then it was awful draging it along grass, total nightmare an blisters...lol!!

if its muddy a hold all with wheels will not cut it. racksack on her back and carry a handle of the holdall each

im taking a case... much rather struggle with one thing than being loaded up like a donkey hehe

i saw people using cases and they didnt look like they struggled toooo much...
