VCamperman
We hoping to be dropped off at Weston for the full weekend camping. Pulled together all our stuff and it looks a lot to carry! Can anyone advise how far we will need to carry our gear? The official drop off point seems to be the wrong side of the Arena for the campsites. Really hoping we don't have to carry our stuff from one end to the other!? Is it possible for cars to get close to the campsites for drop off (without needing a parking ticket). Which campsites would be best for easy drop-off and mimimum carry distance? Can any of the experience festival goers help? Ta

happymonday76
My first year I took wayyyyyy too much stuff. But its amazing how quickly the stuff piles up even for one person. I just had no idea how far the walk was from the car parks. Now I only take what I can carry in my rucksack, or attached to my rucksack! Just make sure if there's a group of you yo'ure not doubling up on stuff, eg stoves and pans etc no point in having multple sets of same stuff. Or don'[t bother at all with cooking stuff and buy it there (I did this last year) To carry beer you need a trolley with good wheels, i've seen loads of people stuck in the mud with them. I used a sledge last year to carry the tent and a bit of alcohol but I'm not bothering this year with the sledge as I'm only bringing a tiny tent.
