Anyone else camping in gold?

We camped there last year & twas pretty good. Nice & friendly, a bit banter, but able to get some zzzs easily enough. (I dont function unless I get my beauty sleep! lol)

Me & hubby thinking of camping there again this year - purely coz I cant be arsed to walk any further with my stuff!

I'm thinking gold. Was going for orange and it has took a lot of thinking but don't want to drag my ten tonne of stuff from the car!

Myself & the missus are considering Gold this year, usually camp in Grey but the slog from the carpark is looking too daunting.

I am planning on gold this year. Usually camp in the back of red but the though of having to carry me stuff an even shorter distance is holding much appeal. Thats if I end up in the right car park though

Not sure where the drop off point for the bus is, we came down from Wakefield & ended up in the south car park which leads you straight into gold. You can do 2 trips if necessary from there - which does wonders for the blisters!!

Not sure about showers tbh, we were at the top closest to the arena & couldnt find any up there but the toilets were quite nice in gold, compared to others we walked passed in Red

that sounds quite appealing to me and my hubby too,only thing is we are getting a coach,how long do you reckon it will take us to walk from bus station bit? it seems a it of a trek.x

Me and my husband are going for gold... Dont mind about having a long walk to the arena as not planning on carrying anything with me.. would prefer to be nearer the car!!! Not been V since 2001 so hopefully will be able to park in south and get in Gold..... setting off tomorrow AM at about 6am.. live about an hour away... would like to be set up with a cold beverage by midday...

Looks like gold is gonna be a nice place with just the right amount of friendly banter and sleep!!!!

Cool I've bright pink croc wellies & a scotland flag for our tent - so we can find the fecker in the sea of grey & green tents!

We've got a flag too (not scotland unfortunately) to recognise the tent.... we've also got solar lamps to stick round the outside so we can see where we're walking!!!!

Probably about 20 mins walk. Depends how much stuff you have to haul but if you walk through red & head to gold its cleaner the further you go! I think Red is for the party animals & I must be too soft for that now! lol

If anyone camping in gold fancies a wee drink 2mora aft pm me your number. We're hoping to get there about 11am ish. The only thing I noticed last year about going as a couple is not as many people talk to you as they would if you were single
