queuing to get wristband

this is the first time for me since the new wristband thing (where you get it first before you go into the campsite).

isn't it a nightmare queuing up with all your bags, tents, sleeping bags etc?!?

it was bad enough just getting into the campsite without queuing up for a wristband at the same time.

i can't see how getting your wristband first makes the process any smoother

It doesnt make it smoother however it stops people passing their tickets to other mates to get into the campsite...

The festival is more secure this way.

as far as i remember last year there was no queue at all!

I've heard a few people complaining that it takes too long to get your wristband at the entrance but thats how they do it at T in the Park these days and I've never had to wait a long time so I'd assume it shouldn't be bad at Reading either

I thought it was a total nightmare last year to be honest, the queue was ridiculous and especially if you have taken a lot of your bags with you aswell

We arrived at about 9am on the Thursday and just strolled right through, it was easy. They do the same thing at Glastonbury and it's never really bothered me, if anything it's nice to be able to have a break from carrying all your stuff from the car park to the campsites.
