Snow Patrol review

I dunno about you, but I wasnt even going to watch Snow Patrol until Oasis cancelled because even though I like the band I just didnt want to see them again.

But when they got put onto the headline act I thought they were absolutely amazing. I have seen them before, but the crowd loved them. Spine tingling set at times with the whole crowd singing Wonderwall. What did you think of them?

i wasn't even going to watch them tbh, but after hearing about Oasis i just kinda thought "why not"

i was suprised, they were MUCH better than i expected them to be! it was nice to just chill out on the last day and listen to them. Plus i think their covers of Wonderwall & Champagne Supernova were really good ;)

Been going to V since 2001 and I have to say that was one of the best headline sets I've seen there, right up with Radiohead and Muse. Their enthusiasm and sense of fun is just so infectious. I was a bit worried there'd be a bit of arseyness under the circumstances but all I could see was people dancing and singing.

The only downside was that I had to miss MGMT  But then I suppose I got to see more of Paolo Nutini and James than expected, longer Elbow and Snow Patrol sets, so all in all, a winner.

I had been convincing everyone I was with it would be well worth seeing then when I heard Oasis were too hungover to go I decided I had to go. I read somewhere that they were booed on stage which was bollocks and they definately made my V festival. I saw oasis 2 times at wembley recently so didnt think I missed as much as its my first time with SP.

All in all the people I was with were glad they listened to me...especially the one who had just had a few disco biscuits...apparently the music was nothing compared to the light show

They were amazing. Such an emotional set at times. Gary got the crowd going as was just so pleased to be there and so happy that they were headlining. I'm actually glad Oasis cancelled now as I've seen them before and we wouldn't have seen a set that good from SP otherwise. They were more than expected by most people, made my weekend and ended it all on such a good note. Will def go and see them again. Think people had quite a bit of respect for them tbh for just getting on with it and everyone was peed off with Oasis, not sure where the booing was that people were saying, everyone was well up for Snow Patrol and was booing Oasis not SP.
