Bottles thrown at Alphabeat during their last song

I popped into see a few songs from Alphabeat on the way back from seeing Pendulum then onto The Killers. During the last song (Fascination) a section of the crowd started throwing bottles at them.

The male singer went to the front of the stage and leaned into the crowd to sing. Then he was pelted with bottles from the middle section.

The female singer then got a bottle thrown at her that bounced of her head. They were all ok and didn't stop them singing but I couldn't see the point in throwing things at them. 1 of the problems there was that you had people waiting for Peter Doherty who obviously had a big dislike of Alphabeat. That's fine but why throw things that them.
