Does anyone know if anything had happened on the roads outside. I have never had to wait that long when leaving the site - last year we left at around 8.30 and within 20 mins was on the road and on our way home. this year we left at 9.00 and did not leave the car park until 1.00pm!!!!! What the ..!!!!

I can't believe that such a huge event is so badly organised for people leaving the event - surely not!!!

I think next year i shall be leaving on the sunday night after the last act - don't want to sit in a car park for 4 hours ever again!

yes the queue was very bad to get out initially, not a steward in site - but then again, there isnt any chance to get money out of you at this point so why would there be?

We parked up, walked to tesco for breakfast and by the time we got back, they finally had stewards in place - a few rozzers were there as well marshalling people out- and it was fine then.

yeah we were 61 also.... but for the first time ever didnt even bother leaving the campsite til gone 12. hung around trying to get an ice cream/water/charge phone but could do none of those things... finally got in car at 1pm, spoke to my sister on phone for a brief period and then turned engine on at 1:15.... 15 mins to get out... no stress at all in getting up, packed or leaving and was back in felixstowe 1 hour later. Best weekend travel wise for V ever for me.

Well this was my first ever festival and driving wasn't the way forwards.

Parked in red 89 which at the time of arrival felt like the longest walk ever, but on the way back it seemed really short (although there was a cut through opened that wasn't before). Got to the car at around 9ish, left the campsite at 12:30! Got back home which is a little over an hours journey at 2:30pm. Seriously unimpressed with the situation, surely they could have marshalled parts of it much better because people were cutting in all over the place.

Overall i now look back and think i'd have rather walked what, another 3 miles to the entrance and park there, than have a shorter walk back but further to drive/sit in a field and not move. I think there was a point of about 40-50mins where we didn't even move an inch.
