fab time at my first festival!

hi guys

i feel i need to post this as there seems to be a lot of negative things being said about this weekend and i had an amazing time,this was my first festival and i loved it!

despite our bus turning up 3 hours late,but everything else was great,toilets no where near as bad as i was preped for,green camp v quite apart from sunday night but was only woken once.

the lovely guy on the fish and chip stall who gave us huge portions due to us eating there twice a day both days and only charging us a quid for water on sunday.

i did feel that sunday had a much better vibe than saturday and did experience some rowdiness on sat but nothing horrible,but then i am from boro so maybe im used to it lol!

i hopefully will be back next year as long as the peeps i wanna see are on the outdoor stages as i thought the tents were awful as u couldnt see a thing once crowded.

bringing loads of mates next year too so hopefully be even better.

I've got to agree. My first festival too and had a fab time - there was definitely a better vibe on Sunday even though the weather wasn't as good.

This site has been invaluable to me and made my first festival. All the tips and advice on this forum from the best festival breakfast, sneaking in the booze, olbas oil to mask the smell of the loos and taking a bowl with me for a "festival wash" made it all the more bearable and will come in useful for future festivals.

Specific stuff about the camp sites and links for free mojitos were also greatly appreciated.

Popped our cherry this year too, deffo go again but must be in a bigger group to enjoy it, our lot are boring sods when it comes to festivals as they spend their money in ibiza each year and that. Think the plan next year is to meet randoms from off here and enjoy the randomness

My first festival too, must echo what the others have been saying, this site has helped massively with various survival hints and tips, it could have been a hugely different experience.

Being a seasoned camper helps, but y'know...

And Sunday was easily more chilled, I think the main reason for this was lack of Oasis daytrippers, but I could just be typecasting!

And if anyone on Green can remember randomers shouting Alan or Steve, or singing songs with Alan/Steve in them, that was part of our group

Our first time too. Although not getting to gold camp we ended in blue, and the queue from the M6 to weston Park, and the toilets, we had a fantastic weekend, laughed non stop, drank loads of beer ate crap food talked to loads of random people, wore our black pork pie hats all weekend, oh yes and the music was absolutely brilliant.

Definitely going next year, but will have to bring more people as we have talked it up so much

The whole weekend was excellent. Went with my two besties but shall be returning with about 20 of us
