Who bunked in for free?

For the umpteenth year running I hear tales of friends who managed to get into the festival without too much trouble and without a proper wristband.

Various methods in previous years involved walking down the path through the woodsat the right hand side of the park and running through the 100ft wide ticket 'gate'.

Finding out what colour the wristbands were and making a duplicate from a piece of carrier bag.

Lifting up a security fence and wandering round till told get the f out of here, whereupon one was directed towards the festival area itself. (Security Guards don't like to think that they've not done their job stopping people getting in so are keen to shoo you out)

This year I was scanned in and out, my mate was questioned as to why his wristband was loose and told to change it, whilst a relative and his girlfriend with no tickets, no band of any description just walked straight in!!!! Others with bands in the camping areas just flashed a wrist but weren't scanned.

Is this why there were some crushing incidents?

Last year I was standing near a security fence, then about 5 or 6 people all jumped out of a hole in the ground! Thought it was quite funny at the time, but if there are hundreds doing a similar thing when we have paid our hard earned cash it's not fair!

Also, like you say overcrowding can be dangerous! But to be honest I think they sold far too many tickets this year!

It really pisses me off to think I paid £150+ for a ticket money which is hard to come by for some of us, and there are people who think it's ok to sneak their way in

and aside from that an even bigger annoyance is their blatant disrespect for others' safety crushing has killed people in the past and I for one think they should stay away or buy a ticket properly

:D
