Oh and completely off-topic:

Yesterday I had a play around with the clashfinder and changed colours to lighter, pastel ones and all the text to bold. Printed in landscape on A4 the resolution now is great and I will have several copies to fold into pocket-friendly diensions, only to pull out at intervals to gasps of 'Cool, where did you get that?' and 'Why is yours a different colour...Oh that's MUCH easier to read'!

A Latitude highlight was clashfinder envy from the uninitiated and knowing nods of recognition from a fellow clashfinder-holder!!

I'm so excited now I'm almost getting a wee bit silly...this time next week I'll be on the train to Dorset to spend the night at my relative's before being ferried to the gates for 10am Friday!

Much as I am enjoying all this larking about, a semi-serious query from an EotR newbie...

The 'special guests' billings in the tents during the DJs' sets...what are they likely to be?

- extra performances from already billed acts?

- acoustic bits and bobs from the lead singer and guitarist from [insert band name here]?

- super suprise appearances from acts NOT announced on the EotR line-up?

A good example of that being The Modern Ovens who played last year - a Jonathan Richman tribute band made up of members of BSP, The Tenderfoot and Actress Hands

Know what you mean about kit but I reckon I can cope with brilliantly packed rucksack and tent under arm with my pal arriving by Friday early afternoon with anything I can't manage!

Apparently I misheard.... it seems there will be "some music" at 01:00 Sunday morning in the Tipi tent. Must be going Mutt in my old age

The Tipi tent - if it is a more or less straight replacement for the Bimble Inn - should be the place where you get random sets by bands playing elsewhere (often covers sets) and the occasional surprise. Can't really say more than that!
