shouldnt be a problem then. - last few days of college was mainly 'presentation days' (i did graphic design) as long as all the work was there, thats all that was needed. :D

I was even able to swing 4 days off in November at college to follow a band around the UK. As long as briefs were done and in before the dead line - wasnt a problem :D

what are you studying?

Yeah this year I am starting college on thursday (aaargh) and I'm doing National Diploma in Media Production and my tutor and teacher both look like the type of people who would go to stuff like glasto. My Tutor has an eyebrow and lip peircing and looks quite hippyish my Teacher came in wearing an Incubus T-Shirt! So I think I'll be fine if I tell them I was going to glasto infact they probably would be going themselves!

I went with my son this year - he finished his GCSE's the week before.....he started at college on Tuesday - I've told him to ask what the course timetable looks like for next June - if hes got exams then we're knackered!

I've just started college this year too, and me and all my friends would love to go to Glastonbury next year. I've been twice before (2008 I 'had' to miss my work experiance in order to see Radiohead, then the next day, go to Glastonbury =D), and if I find out I have exams during Glastonbury week, I'll be deeply dissapointed. :D

Wickerman

Bulldog Bash !

Leeds was excellent this year , lots of people impressed by the vibe , no festival is immune from

idiots.

Glasto has em , the two biggest idiots I came across this year were at Glasto ,

No - he's doing a BTEC national diploma (equivalent to 3 A levels) - the course is predominantly assignment based with some exams thrown in, with a total of 18 units/modules to be completed over 2 years (9 per year).

We've now been told by college that the final assignments & exams for year 1 are scheduled for the last two weeks in June (wc 21st & wc 28th June) - in other words, Glasto is a non-starter for him/me next year

Whilst he's desperate to go again he won't risk blowing year 1 (I've decided not to go without him - wouldn't be fair).

Can anyone suggest any worthwhile festival in July/August to 'replace' Glasto? (please don't suggest Leeds - neither of us could put up with the minority of scumbags who attend)

Looking forward to 2011......
