Is our own brought alcohol allowed in the arenas area? Can't see anything about it on the website (and hope I've not missed it being answered elsewhere on the forum). Buying some cans tomorrow, and need to gauge how many to grab. Thanks in advance

cant be totally definitive cos there was a weird bit last year on the friday but am sure the organisers intend for people to be allowed to take their own alcohol into the arena.

that said the bar is sooooo good. Not kidding, proper choice of lagers and real ales with a whole bus of ciders.......allow yourself to want to buy drinks.

actually should explain that.....the organisers apologised last year because people were stopped for bringing alcohol in for a very short while. I believe it was all a misunderstanding, and i really do mean "believe"!!!!

I dont think it will happen again.

On the subject of booze, is there a shop near by where cans etc can be bought?

I'm coming on train/bus so don't want to carry drink with me but don't really want to just drink from the bar for the whole weekend.

Although the cider bus sounds very tempting..

isnt there a Tesco close by? i can remember getting pastys on the way home last year?

If you're getting the train to Salisbury, there's a shop right next to the station that served all our horrible cider needs last year...

After that though, you're on your own.
