carrotrope
OH! One I forgot, based purely on the fact that I sort of mistook Alele Diane for her (apologies, Alela fans), but Basia Bulat would be lovely. And Fanfarlo. And Sleeping States. wockey
Not enjoying this thread because it is reminding me how inadequate my knowledge of music really is !!! I've never heard of the majority of these artists...............in fact I was going to make up a list of imaginary artists and throw it in just to see if anybody noticed

GTG
Don't worry, I haven't heard of a lot of them either. In most people's lists I've heard of at least a few, but some of the lists are (almost) a complete mystery!! I've discovered so many bands courtesy of EOTR - it's a lot of the fun of the fezzie preparation, investigating new bands
Better Late...
Loudon Wainwright III - he'd be great doing a late night set in the Tipi / Tipi equivalent. ....... and he could bring along a few family members as well

DragKnuckles
Hi All, Just discovered a band called Spokane who are label-mates of Okkervil River and Bon Iver on Jagjaguwar...brilliant moody lo-fi...perfect for EotR (Tipi?) methinks. almal
i realise it's entirely unrealistic, but... can we have pavement please? pretty please?
Dibford and Son
Many of the bands that played this year would be good, Shearwater Low Anthem Mumford and Sons Okkervil River The Leisure Society Herman Dune The Duke and the King...... to name a few. Lots of good new mentions so far, some of which I need to check out 'cos I haven't heard of them either! Plus this lot, in no particular, but alphabetical order...........!! Alberta Cross Andrew Bird Animal Collective Belle and Sebastian Bon Iver ....... Bower Birds Broken Records Indigo Girls Iron and Wine Monsters of folk, or any of them on their own ( great new album) Port o Brien Slow Club Stornoway Sufjan Stevens Sweet Billy Pilgrim Unkle Bob Windmill...........bit different but could be good( anyone else agree, or strongly disagree?) I think that will do for now D & S
Elfy
Just remembered........ Youthmovies Also, going on the assumption that Brakes will be back again, I wonder if Marc Beatty could be persuaded to reform The Tenderfoot for the festival? langerabend
PAVEMENT isn't that unrealistic, considering their reunion gigs next year. So I sign the petition! Also: a little bit more variety would be nice. Saw lots of Kids wearing Ramones T-Shirts, but where was the Punk this year (apart from the Brakes?), after all it says HEY HO! LETS GO! at the box office... I also wouldn' t mind some electronic sounds here and there. I know, i know, but still, why not? So here is my way too early totally unrealistic, ever changing wishlist: CASIOTONE FOR THE PAINFULLY ALONE THE NOTWIST BOREDOMS SPARKLEHORSE HOLY f**k WRECKLESS ERIC & AMY RIGBY BILLY BRAGG NOMEANSNO HANDSOME FURS MOGWAI TWILIGTH SAD DANIEL JOHNSTON JONATHAN RICHMAN POSTAL SERVICE FENNESZ f**k BUTTONS XIUXIU ... stephenm
i'd say pavement, far from being unrealistic, would be a stone-bonking certainty for next year if they're still going. other totally obvious/crushing inevitables are Wilco, Andrew Bird, Grizzly Bear. i'd give some of the retreads a rest (brakes, d t broughton) and maybe even consider some other promoter for the tent that has become Local's (disappointing bookings this time round)... SweepingTheNation
Pavement will be far too far out of the budget. And besides, aren't their New York shows around that time?

Jeddon
Pavement really would be almost unbelievably good. I'd also love to see Ween, Built To Spill and Wilco. How about A Silver Mt.
