Well I was wondering did I make the "right " choices and who else would I like to see now if I get the chance and which of the many million cds I still have to buy shall I get next...so thanks guys

Such a varied selection which I think is a brilliant way of saying just how individual and wonderful the EOTR is and its participants.

Obviously some bands have got more mentions... Okkervil River, The Low Anthem, The Duke and The King and Richmond Fontaine!

Am already frantically buying tickets for more gigs...lol xx

:P:huh::)

Explosions In The Sky - a perfect momment under the stars.

Neko Case - what a voice, what a girl......

Tallest Man In Europe - dunno if he only has the one trick, but when he does it so well, does it really matter?

Very honourable mentions to Dirty Projectors, Loney Dear and Richmond Fontaine.

I adore Okkervil River but don't think they did themselves justice, I had expected them to be the best live band of the weekend, by a country mile. Neko played the same stage at the same time the following night, and her sound seemed to fill the arena. Not so for OR. Now, if only I'd seen them in the woods....

1. BRAKES BRAKES BRAKES - Brighton's best live band

2. Broken Family Band - Saturday afternoon in the sun was perfect

3. The Leisure Society - Acoustic set @stage in the woods Sunday lunchtime

Also enjoyed Okkervil River, Steve Earle (although missed a lot due to Brakes in Big Top), The Hold Steady (again, missed a lot due to hometime), Bob Log (hilarious) Dent May, Pack AD and (surprisingly) Fleet Foxes

Now I am back I am spending all my time catching up on the bands I missed - it is frustrating you cannot be in 2 places at once.

Great weekend, great mix of music.

Um, I went to see Vetiver and could have caught the seeond half of Explosions In The Sky, but listened to them...it was good...BUT as you know.... I was already overwhelmed by seeing a band with two hot drummers.... and had to go back to the tent and shave my legs before their secret set in the Tipi

They probably were great tho in the Garden Stage setting...I bow to your expertise

My top 3 would be

1) Peter Broderick

2) Wildbirds and Peacedrums

3) Efterklang

Honourable mention should go to Josh T Pearson as well, shame I missed his secret set once again.

The award for "spontaneously" falling down at the end of a song goes to EITS. Actually I was surprised I enjoyed them as much as I did as I got way too bored of them a few years back.
