Basically, I said that this year would be my last Glastonbury for a while because I am currently struggling financially and because I have been to Glastonbury for the past few years and know there are other festivals out there which I'd like to try.

However, I LOVE David Bowie, and would LOVE to see him play live, and would be absolutely devastated if he played next year and I missed him.

I know nobody can know for sure but what does people's gut instincts tell them? Knowledgeable people (Neil etc) what are your thoughts? Heard any rumours or is it far too early for that yet??

Please don't just say that he'll be there because you want me to be at the festival.....yes nightcrawler13, I'm looking at you! Please just vote how you really think.

With less than a week before tickets go on sale, I am currently finding myself struggling to make a decision on whether to buy a ticket or not. Help!!

Thanks

I expect the answer is a very big NAY unfortunately because apart from anything else he hasn't played any full gigs at all since health issues forced the cancellation of his last tour partway through. Was lucky enough to see him briefly when he appeared as a guest of David Gilmour at RAH though and ecstatic would be a massive understatement if he did play Glasto again at some point - or play anywhere at all for that matter, providing I had tickets of course ! I live in hope each and every year that he'll appear but I certainly wouldn't put any money it happening anytime that soon if at all unfortunately. I defo don't want to have to add him to the every growing "artistes I didn't manage to see before they pegged it" list that's for sure but I have to admit that it's not looking good.

He caned it in the 70s. Thin White Duke and all that. I'm glad I caught him on his last tour, he was fanastic, utterly brililant, and played what people wanted rather than the long periods of his career where he ignored huge parts of his back catalogue.

I have NO inside info but everything points towards the Dame giving 2010 a miss

Like many others have said he hasn't performed more than 2 or 3 songs live in over 5 years. To expect him to jump up on the Pyramid stage and do 150 minutes of hits would be pushing it, even for David

I'd absolutely love him to surprise us all and turn up but circumstances, plus the rather damning statement on bowie.net, suggest there's no chance at all

2010 had better have some good headliners though as I was rather let-down by the 2009 crop
