Alchemy Festival
What other workshops and kids activities do you want at Alchemy? Please bear in mind that all kids activities must be free - Rules out fairground rides etc.!! - Dont think they have any place at a fest anyway personaly. Things with a green motivation would be good!

howie7
Something for teenagers would be good. A tent with a drum kit and some electric guitars and mikes for them to have a jam. My lads (age 13 and 15) loved the teenage tent at Beautiful Days last year because of the instruments in there + songwriting sessions etc. They said it was the best festival they have ever been to. Also a big football match would go down well.
Guest Flip
Curved Air would be amazing as a Saturday headline act...been listening to them since i was about 14...not seen em since the reform but theres some youtube from the horsedrawn, sounds good!! Also, Martha Tilston playing Otley folk on the 18th Sept.. Possible Sunday afternoon slot for Alchemy??? Would be stunning.... rabid
Nah, hippies are much more flammable. You have to get the ones that have been stood for a long time though!
Goblinz
Hmmm, they do tend to smell and smoke a lot though.

rabid
Seriously does anyone know who does the fire logs that stand upright in the ground and have had a cross cut into them with a chainsaw, that then burn from the inside out? - Know what I mean?? timespeedsup
Train tickets London to Lincoln for Alchemy currently just over a tenner each way. Think it's then a £3 quid or so bus ride to near the site. Unless anyone can offer me a lift from London for it by the end of the week, think I'll have to try a festival by train for the first time in 16 years. smog
Swedish Candles Nice little guide here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/camping-rving/710446-swedish-candle.html I had a mess around making some at my old workplace after I saw them at BT. Need a decent chainsaw but its not too hard as long as you find a decent log to start with. I like chainsaws
