Alchemy Festival
JAKWOB James Jacob AKA 'Jakwob' has seen his nascent career take off in the last few months. With champions such as Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe, and Annie Mac, the NME, Dazed & Confused, Mixmag, The Guardian, RWD, and beyond, the 21 year old is in the curious position of having just finished his final year at university, completed while juggling a busy gig schedule, production work, daily remix requests, and being shot in September’s iD magazine. Alchemy Festival
On the Undertone stage! Vibronics From their creation in 1995 Vibronics have been at the forefront of the UK Roots and Dub explosion. They served their apprentice through a series of exclusive heavy-weight cuts for Sound Systems such as Jah Shaka, Iration Steppas and Aba-Shanti-I before moving on to releasing music through Zion Train's Universal Egg label. Vibronics have been playing live and DJing across Europe since 1997 where they have earned a reputation for kicking up a musical storm. An exhausting itinerary has taken them from Portugal to Finland with visits to just about every country in between. Their studio work leads the way in contemporary dub productions and has included collaborations with Zion Train, Ranking Joe, Macka.B and The Mad Professor. They thrive on collaborations across genres and have worked with artists as diverse as Fun Lovin' Criminals and the Warsaw Village Band. They run their own ‘SCOOPS’ record label and have a created a sell-out back catalogue of over 20 releases in just five years. They have released three albums on the Universal Egg label, including the highly praised CD/LP 'Dubliftment', as well as two albums in France for the Soundsaround label. 2007 has seen a wealth of new releases on vinyl, CD and MP3 download ... and look out in 2008 for the new CD/LP 'UK DUB STORY' .... Vibronics is the future sound of Dub...... Edited July 16, 2010 by Alchemy Festival

Alchemy Festival
Booyaka Booyaka is a funky legend, a non-stop party, a musical mantra, a way of life. Retro yet forward-looking, danceably funky but rockingly filthy dirty, Booyaka's individual groove has never been more vital. After more than a decade of gigging Booyaka remains Shropshire's premier funk band. A true inspiration for past and present generations of misspent youths, these funk-rock heroes have genuinely changed the musical landscape to create the funkiest county you've never heard of. Seriously, ask Max Rafferty of the Kooks. We taught him everything he knows. Almost.

Alchemy Festival
Counter Action Soundz CounterAction is a new UK roots reggae/dub label in the works. It has come to be as a natural response to the pressures, the highs and lows of living in Babylon (in both the mental and the physical sense). It aims to provide a vehicle for positive, educational, spiritual creative musical expression contributed by singers and players principally from Leicester and the UK (but not only), particularly taking notice of artists that perhaps have not had enough or as much exposure as deserved. A true counterAction.
