Campervan access Tuesday night?

I see they are seriously talking about letting cars in from 8pm on the Tuesday night to ease traffic - it would be great to have early access for a few campervans as well..hope it happens

It would make a lot of sense to let campers/caravans in early too. We already have somewhere to sleep as I think the licence states no sleeping in cars?? And most don't need access to the site for catering and are possibly the slowest vehicles on the road.

A letter to the site office requesting this may be in order!!

I like the cut of your jib there -good points - slow vehicles/own sleeping facilities - in fact we should be the only ones let in early. Must admit I thought it strange they would let cars in for people to sleep in them ? That didnt make sense at all. And this year 1000 extra campers apparently - so more reason to get us off the lanes early as possible. Am liking the idea of Tuesday night camped up and ready to roll.

As it will be our first year in the Campervan fields - in a trailer tent - I think that makes good sense.

I want to wake up on Wednesday on site knowing I can just chill. Also last year we arrived on site at 9 and the muppets running the site aimed us to the sodding overflow!

If they do bring in the 8pm Tuesday thing - and they haven't said they will yet, then yes as the Campervan field is outside the licence area of the site - it would make sense to have us arrive on Tuesday.

Good news - seems from comments from Michael Eavis on the front page that campervans and cars are being jointly talked about for Tuesday night access. This basically extends the festival nicely - full day Wednesday to chill out

i like the idea of getting into the CV fields early. I'd be more than happy chilling at the van until wednesday afternoon / evening as well rather than trying to get into the festival first thing.
