LoveGlasto
Could do, my reasoning was that if they found pre-rolled they would only find one thing. If i took them in 'pieces' there would be the weed, the paper, everything. I'll think it over nearer the time though :L
smytho15
You are way more likely to get searched at castle Carey Station than anywhere else, you have to queue up and they just walk a dog down the queue from time to time. I don't know how accurate it is though, so many people carry so much, the dog must be going crazy, so really there is a lot of luck in it. If you drive they have these tables where they empty stuff out, but I think they're looking more for glass than they are other substances, I just walk straight past them, like customs and no one has ever stopped me. But anyway its very easy to hide a stash in a backpack, just use your imagination a bit, there are lots of things that would be a real hassle to unpack. Also, lots of pre-packaged things can be opened and shut without anyone realising it. i.e. roll on deo and pot noodles. They know all the hiding places but you just have to make it too much of a hassle for them to check them, its basically a token effort to keep out the real dealers, just play along. lol
rexclark
Yes - and no Rasta hats or T shirts saying Adihash, or ones with a giant picture of Mr Nice. Make sure your eyes aren't like in those ridiculous drink drive adverts, and don't start singing "I wanna be a hippy and I wanna get stoned on mara/ marijuana..." as you reel past security in a fragrant haze. Follow these sensible rules and you'll be fine.
42-shades
I take a small bit in on wed when 1st get there and leave the rest in the car. Usually do another trip back the next day and if there are no searches/dogs when i go out, just bring the rest in with me. Friends got searched at the service station, was obviously personal use so just confiscated it and took their details.
Damien..Barlow
I dont take or smuggle but Glasto 2008 i got stopped at the gates and had my whole bang turned inside out, also the tent and anything else i happened to have. They went through literally everything from a tiny tin of lip balm to checking the condom packets were still sealed up. ha. Then 2009 i got stopped after i had been to my car and had the box i was carrying turned inside out so i guess i just have that face. I would be careful they dont search everyone but i did see a fair few people being taken away by police near the gates, and overheard the staff and police talking about drugs they had found. Personally i would rather have an amazing weekend than risk it.

maninkilt
Hahaha i got searched at castle cary ( Picked out by a dog) a few years back mum still has the warrent was not to bad had nothing on me and he asked if i did and said if he found anything i would be nicked only felt round the bag and i was on my way. however the other lad being searched in the cabin had his whole bag tent the lot emptyed to the florr and then had to repack it him self i was not allowed to help . My reasoning is bring what you like but if you do get pulled it may be best to hold your hands up as the way the copper told me was it would be just confiscated and you would be sent on your way if you hide and they find you will be nicked. That is the way i understand it althoug if you have half of colombias national export this rule may not apply.
Kyelo
In 11 festivals I've never been searched fully and in my day had well more than would be for 'personal use'. May I be so bold as to suggest that posting on a public forum the precise way you're planning to smuggle illegal drugs into a festival is a really stupid idea? cran
Bear in mind that not all the gate security staff are highly trained, intelligent upholders of the law. I had a proper scene with an absolute f**kin idiot on the gate this year as I was bringing some band equipment in. He wanted to confiscate a bag of drumsticks! Refused to believe me when I told him what they were, ended up having to get a supervisor over to verify that they weren't an offensive weapon! Having said that, the fuss made about them meant that he didn't bother searching for any actual contraband - wish I'd had some now! If you're that bothered about getting high, why not just buy stuff on site? just not in the stone circle where you'll get royally shafted as like as not. Horror stories about people buying bags of crushed glass or weed stuffed with razor blades or whatever are mostly just that - stories! Yorkshire Chomper
Been to 8 Glastonburys and this year was first time I got searched. Had a couple of rucksacks on me and he went through one very finely. Questioned my small bag of chili flakes (for my noodles) and cup cakes. Came very close to finding it. Saw one lad on the table next to me getting collared for some small amount and the police were bagging it up. He looked gutted. Next year I'm questioning whether it is worth the risk. mouth
i drive a van and as we entered the site where they check the number of tickets to people in the vehicle this guy came up put his hand over my open window and started "chatting" to me and my girlfriend. asked us what we were doing where we'd been the night before. basically gauging us. Luckily i have a rule of not enjoying myself until the tents up. he held us for about 5 mins talking to us. a kept eye contact and eventually he realeased his grip and sent us on our way. Bradders
Our search was humorously half-arsed: Security: "you got any drugs lads?" *driver panics and looks at everyone in the car for reassurance* Guy in the back shouts: No! Security: "you sure?" *driver panics again* "err... no... I mean yes" Security: "haha, have a good festival guys" And that was it

john7
How strict are the searches / how many people are searched going in on Thursday morning / Wednesday night? Obviously people do get drugs onto the site, and I'm sure if I really wanted to, I could find a fair amount of weed around the site. However if I manage to get a cancelled ticket and go - I would rather take my own weed so I am sure it's not laced with anything etc. I know that technically you aren't allowed anything illegal on site but I would be off my face the whole time, it would literally be the occasional afternoon smoke in the Greenfields. I sound like a stupid kid, but then I'll be 17 - I am a stupid kid
