Someone has just mailed us to say that The Strokes will be headlining next year.

eFestivals has no idea whether it's true or not, tho I think it seems a little unlikely - they don't have the profile or sales of a more usual headliner.

Does anyone know if the band are even together at the moment?

Can't see them headlining maybe 3rd or 4th from top of the list for what day they might be booked if they even are playing,good lively addition to any line up for the festival,I would like to see them there.

Of course they'd headline- they're one of the biggest contemporary bands of the past decade. They headlined Reading way back in '02, Wireless in 2006 as well as countless others. It's hardly like they've gone the way of Guns'n'Roses, ruling with a bloody Chinese Democracy yet... Although quite why the Pixies didn't headline last year beats me given that the Stereophonics got given a top slot...
