George, these were taken with a D40 with a 18-55 and 55-200. Invested in a gorilla pod for this years festival so can get some more (steady!) long shutter shots!

This on the other hand is very nicely done. It has the feeling of inviting you to come down into fairyland!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'd forgotten I'd sent a few people the high res version. For anyone that cares, it was taken from the campsite on the hill near the bus station on the Thursday of Glastonbury 2008, and is my favourite pic I've ever taken at a festival. :-)

Except for those two on the right hand side, fourth row back with moody faces and crossed arms.

Though I love the girl at the front, the guy in the purple shirt on the right, the girl on the left drinking the Carlsberg, the guy two rows behind her dancing with his and up in the air and the guy further left in the white shirt who's just smiling.

I've been passively excited the last while but after looking at these fantastic photos again and realising it's only a few days away, I cannot wait. I can't beleive I'm going. I'm so freaking excited. Oh my god oh my god oh my god.

You know what's funny, you are always looking at the stage so you never know what's going on around you . The min you turn round to see the crowed you notice that there are so many different stories around you. People who are having a great time, others that are not that impressed, people that are totally wasted or sleeping in the mud. This is the view that the performers are seeing, I have no idea how they remain serious and dont burst out in a laugh at most of these faces they see from up there.

Dead Weather at the park - absolutely brilliant!

10 minutes before the prodigy set on the other stage - everyone around this dude was totally ramped up for it.....he spent the best part of the set sat there reading his paper!!
