I got really grumpy with cubehenge - every time I snapped it was on red. It did change colour... right?

Not exactly Glastonbury, but it was the start of our festival as we stopped over en route. A few of the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge on the Monday night/Tuesday morning, 2011.

Some Hare Krishna thing or other, seemed to be some sort of a mobile shrine. They were pulling it around and chanting.

Yes - well the second time we went there they'd run out but put on a Goan King Prawn curry instead. Still delicious!

That is a f**king disgrace. I have never left anything at GLasto except rubbish in a bag at the appropriate areas.

It's not a competition! It's good to see people's photos.

Agree about the second one. Now I'm old we stay in the campervan fields and I can't bring myself to go into the site Monday morning any more as it looks like a war zone and it's too sad to see. So we make a night of it Sunday night and leave before it gets light. There's a huge difference between the trashed state of the main site and the usually pristine state the campervan fields are left in. I think that says a lot about the age and demographic of CV users on the whole.

During the festival itself the worst affected areas seem to be the ones that attract younger festival goers - around the Brothers Bar in West Holts and the top of The Park. I don't really understand that. Surely young people should care more about their environment than they do these days? I know my kids have been brought up to do so.

I think it's 99% to do with the fact that you don't have to carry any stuff from your tent to your car. But sure, you could just blame those darn kids instead...
