FESTIVAL VIRGIN!

hey..

planned to go to v festival with my boyfriend this year and it'll be my first!

always wanted to go to one but never got round to it..

i'm really excited about it already and my boyf loves efests and says i should come on it to get even more excited and to 'meet' people that will be there and that'll make me all excited

so any hints and tips, or rumours for headliners? i really cant wait!

Welcome to the madness!

1) Get there early (nice to be all camped up by 12 when it starts getting really busy and you're there in your camp chair with a cold beer!)

2) Camp in Orange (lots of showers and not full of chavs)

3) Take a decent airbed (or buy one when you get there)

4) Make friends with your neighbours

5) Go down to the arena on the Friday so you know where the stages are

6) Go to the indie disco on the Friday night to get in the mood

You're gonna have one of the best weekends ever!

My top tips:

Never EVER wear jeans! If they get wet in the rain they are a right pain in the ass to dry so your stuck walking round all soggy all day. Skirts/Dresses with leggings are the way forward.

Always take a pair of wellies just in case. Even if it is forecast blazing hot sun.

Take lots of wet wipes and tissues. And anti bacterial hand gel!

Dont do what I do and over indulge on the first night and be ill for the rest of the fest lol

Team orange is definatley the way to go!

Indie disco is a must for your first time!

Cocktails from the bacardi bar are a must they are very yummy!

Take some dry shampoo with you if you cant stand having greasy hair all weekend.

Also I wouldnt advise buying bar tokens, they equal in having to que twice and then your stuck with them if you dont use them all (unless you can really be bothered to post them back). There are a few cash bars so I just use them instead!

Things to take:

Intention to have a good time

Money

Beer

Tent

and in your case, a boyfriend to carry the rest of your cr*p as the girls tend to take a few extra items along most times.

As little as possible, has developed into the way I try it now.

my check list

primark jackets/jumpers (think one per day, if u at the front of arena ur bound to get pee on u)

shorts and over kneee socks for the cold forget trousers they get wet n can stink vile in the muddy wet weather...legs can be wiped down with wet wipes

t-roll. wet wipes. handgel. say no more, dry shampoo and bobbles!

buy a cheap tent.... theres nothin worse than puttin down a muddy tent that never folds back n goes in its bag right lol...u will most likely leave it there...sleepin bag and cheap pillow from ikea, they fold and dont take up much room

booze!!! and a bf to carry all mentioned items
