beamo
o.k first time with a campervan pass this year so not sure quite how this works. Is there a different wristband for campervan field or just a seperate pass ? And how do we come off as one of our party is arriving later, in terms of them getting into the field, are our tickets different ? And does this make sense ?? ukslim
Anyone can go into the campervan field. You just need a campervan pass to bring a vehicle in. Your friends, like you, will need to make sure they keep their ticket, because you need it along with your passout and wristband, to get back into the main area. al_coholic
Most important not to lose your festival ticket as you need it everytime you go in and out of the festival. Also, there are campervan fields on both the East and West sides this year, so let your friend know which side to park
beamo
Cheers all, the bit about not losing the ticket is a bit worrying though ! Must be a fair few people do lose them, any idea what happens then ?!
rischbrit
One of our group lost her ticket last year. She had to go to the admin office to prove who she was and what bank account/card she used to pay for ticket. Once this was done she spent the rest of the festival with two wrist bands on! Sabcully
Beamo, don't get too worried about it as it is not really as much of a problem as you might think. We had no probs last year at all and still had a good time without becoming paranoid over the ticket and pass out. Before I changed to camping in my van I read loads of horror stories about the HILL OF DEATH and I can only say, as a not very fit person, it ain't a problem at all, even intoxicated. Just enjoy. I admit had too many brother's (cider that is) last year and woke up the next morning in van could not remember hill of death!!!!!!! (well could not recall any of the walk back!) ukslim
I've never had a problem with this so called Hill of Death. I assume it's just the people who bring too much stuff that have trouble. Or they're from Holland or Norfolk or somewhere like that where there are no slopes. Sabcully
Zig Zag up it is a cunning plan as it means that you don't go uphill at all...! Anyway, I kept my ticket and pass out around my neck with the guide. We used the full sized version most of the time so no worries about 'accidentally pulling out guide, loose ticket and pass out and get locked up for the whole weekend'. Other people put them into their socks inside wellies...a step too far for me but an option.
