Paying Extra For Thursday Camping

Is it just me or is having to pay a tenner to camp on the Thursday a bit of a con. The price of normal weekend and camping means you'll miss half the bands on the Friday unless you pay the extra tenner to arrive one night early. I mean, I know its only a tenner but at the end of the day, punters are already paying £170 + booking fee, as well as £10 to park, now another £10 to arrive and the regular arrival day, it all adds up.

i agree, f**king con. I always admired the way download did business and i understand that costs increase, but charging to get in wednesday and letting everyone else in on thursday would be a more fair alternative like leeds and reading do. The parking thing is a bit rich as well since they'll except no liability if your car gets robbed, but f**k it, acdc are playing so i'm popping the download cherry!

Wednesday is all about booze and meeting people and having fun and finding your way around.

This year, my friend and I are going to Alton Towers on the Thursday!! Saves lying around recovering from Wednesdays hangover!!! And back in time for evening campsite shenanigans!!

do they add the service charge to the parking tho if you buy it with ur festival ticket? or did u buy it seperate cos it could be that. otherwise yeah u would just buy it on the day.

how far is donnington from civilization? cos cudnt u just leave ur car in some housing estate and just get a shuttlebus in?
