NO THIS IS NOT AN I HATE AC/DC AND NEVER WANTED THEM TO PLAY!!! THREAD...

Does anybody get a feeling of not wanting to go because, the atmosphere from Weds to the day they headline could suck? I mean there's gonna be a lot of AC/DC fans there to see only them...

I was thinking about this a lot and it kinda made me think about not going... just don't know. Not saying that all punters are going to be 'boring old OOFAs' but, I don't know...

Anyone else thinking the same?

:P

Don't be crazy! There will be plenty of people there who are not AC/DC maniacs. The thousands of people who bought early bird tickets won't be AC/DC maniacs.

And just because there will be some AC/DC maniacs there, doesn't mean they are going to ruin the atmos. Get a grip honey! It will all be as awesome as it always it!

Dont really think thats an issue at all. People mentioned the same thing about the 'classic rock' day last year and yes there were clearly people who bought day tickets for the Sunday and were only interested in seeing Def Lep, Whitenake ect but there was no difference that I could make out in the atmosphere on the Sunday. Also as others have pointed out anyone who really only wanted tto see AC/dc would buy day tickets so they wouldn't be there in the days before.

Even people who bought tickets on the basis of AC/DC playing aren't necessarily there only to see AC/DC. I bought a ticket as soon as the leak happened, but I'm sure as hell up for seeing 7 out of the other 8 bands announced so far, and I'm willing to bet there's going to be a whole heap more I'll be chomping at the bit to see by June

Made me laugh this one had visions of this strange bunch of peeps dressed in school uniforms and only communicating with each other or other Ac/Dc fans.

Lets face it no matter what genre of music you like you aint going to follow 1 band and that is it.I have no doubt there will be fanatics who will either like or put up with other genres of the music on the day or over the weekend. Very strange thing to worry about. :P

I think the fact ACDC are playing will draw a more varied crowd if anything. Our crowd of 3 blokes has already grown to 9-10 and counting. Also out of all of us only 2/3 are acdc nuts.

So, no, not something that worries me.

I'm absolutely stoked that AC/DC are playing, and I'm not that big a fan of them. I have a few of their albums, but in the main I've been dying to see them just once. I have a chance now. But I'm very happy about other bands playing as well, particularly TCV, STP, Motorhead and Deftones.

I genuinely don't want to see them live. I don't like their music and tbh, I think a guy in his 60s prancing around in a school boy uniform is (to put it lightly) too weird. I won't put me off going but, I certainly wouldn't see them play. If I go to download, I won't be watching them. I'll be down at the second stage are at the bar. I don't care how legendary they are. I don't want to see a stage show, I want to see (in my own opinion) a good performance. This includes good music, good quality of playing and then the stage show. Like I saw Tool in 2006 and was heavily unimpressed. My friend told me I had to see them... I could've missed them and wouldn't have cared. So, yeah. Maybe I'm hard to please, I don't know but, y'know. Not interested in seeing AC/DC at all.
