Sabcully
Before I bought my camper I looked into hiring. All companies I checked increased their prices cosiderably over Glastonbury. The best one I found was on eBay, listed with the VW campers. I never booked with them though so couldn't comment.

beamo
Companies I contacted wanted ยฃ1400-ยฃ1800 for the festival period vastly overpriced imo ! Odly enough price seemed to drop when I didn't get back to them. Now hiring off a mate ยฃ300 and thats for a week !!
ivan
I remember a few years back , cos of the mud the other stage area was like Paschendale on a bad week end. All you could see and feel was mud , the only respite was the walk way. Anyway behind me people were jumping off the walk ways to let a spanking white motor home through. We all looked like beings from an armageddon film stood wating for the motor home to pass so we could get back on the tracks. As it passed me I saw inside and Ian Brown was sat at a table , shades on in a Brazil footie team track suit

loosechange
Last year when my own 'van broke down just before the festival and wouldn't be back on the road in time, I hired from these lovely people: http://www.campervantastic.com/ Their entire fleet were heading to Glasto and we met a couple of other groups of Glastonites when we picked the 'van up on the Tuesday evening. manateemike
we used Tilshead Caravans one year. Most hirers charge from weekend to weekend, which means to have one that covers the whole w/e, you'd effectively have to pay for 2 weeks, but they just charged by the day. Plus they're in Salisbury which is on the way (for us).... it was a few years ago, but we agreed camping was the best option in the end they were also totally used to hiring out for Glastonbury, so we didn't have to keep it a secret, but they generally hire loads out in bulk to record companies and such for the festival, so they get booked up early... it could already be too late... just had a quick check, and it'd be just over ยฃ500 for the whole w/e for a 3/4 berther from Wednesday to Monday, which isn't bad compared to some.... don't know about availability though... good luck
