Rob Zombie

I know he's been mentioned in other threads but with the release of a new album him saying last year he would be coming over to do European dates and now the French Roadrunner website confirming he will be in Europe in May June here- http://www.roadrunnerrecords.fr/release/Hellbilly+Deluxe+2

I think he's got to be at Download, but with Saturday already looking to have a pretty metal day with Deftones and Megadeth confirmed for that day and with Rob Zombie not having played the UK for an age, I think he might actually be Saturday headliner.

Unless they have actually got Metallica [which it doesn't look likely] who else is a big metal act who they could have booked to play above him?

This is sticking with Sunday is classic day, I really think Rob Zombie could be the headliner we haven't been sure on. Thoughts?

So who would headline above him? I really am stuck dude. I know he's not a huge act to headline but Id say because he hasn't played UK for ages and has a cult following you never know

But as Rock AM Ring have announced and im guessing he's gunna play there too, I'd say yeah he might take up the same slot as he would there [only problem is Rock AM Ring go into the night so they have more flexability with giving acts slots after the headliners]

everyone has ruled it out but i'm starting to think (and worry) it could be Muse, as Glastonbury does have a history of sharing headliners. Still hoping for Soundgarden but apparently they're starting their tour off with N.America now which would be dissapointing. Van Halen is the only one i think is nailed onto headline.....and to be honest i wouldnt put it past him to give Rob Zombie a headlining slot or someone like that who doesnt quite seem big enuf to do it - ie Offspring & lostprophets in 2008, MCR in 2007 and Feeder in 2005.

I hope he headlines, one of the very few bands/artists I really like who I haven't seen yet.

(The other noteworthy one being Fear Factory, and i'll see 'em at Soni and Bloodstock).

I think Judas Priest is a good bet for eitehr headline or sub-headline, what with it being 30 years since British Steel, which they played in it's entirety on a US tour last year but not here in their home country yet.

id say Rob Zombie 3rd main stage or headlining the 2nd. No way near big enough to headline main stage. Theres already bands announced that arent headlining that will attract a bigger crowd than Rob Zombie - ie Stone Temple Pilots and Them Crooked Vultures....also its possible that even Megadeth and Deftones could also attract a bigger crowd. I hope he is playing tho, still have some doubts mind as i bet Bloodstock would kill to get him to headline! or have they fully booked their headliners now?

I'd love to see Rob Zombie at Download - but not as a headline act. Unless he's headlining one of the lower stages.
